The US Open has been underway for the past week now at this point. There have been many surprises and upsets in both men’s and women’s tennis. Just last night Djokovich lost to Warwrinka in straight sets. If you are planning on making your way to Flushing Meadows than you are going to want to stay in New Jersey. There are multiple reason’s including legal online gambling, better parking, cheaper hotel’s. The list go’s on and you can see a few examples below.
Online Gaming
If you haven’t heard many States in the US along with other countries around the world have online casinos. By staying in Jersey you will have access to a whole plethora of sites and can even play international players worldwide. You will have to first download a location software designated by that specific site so if you are planning to get around the system by using vpn’s or other alternatives just do not even bother. The software was developed by people trying to prevent exactly what you would be doing.
Cheaper Hotel’s
Finding hotel’s during the US Open is first of all hard, but second of all expecsive because of the demand. Hundreds of thousands of extra people are all making there way to one area so any hotel within ten square kilometers is going to be either way too expensive, or booked. New Jersey is right across the bridge, and if you are traveling through Newark there are many decent and affordable hotels right near the airport. Renting a car from the airport is probably going to be your best bet.
Cheaper Gas
For those of you who do not know the price of gas can change dramatically from state to state. New Jersey has some of the cheapest gas in the country. You can literally save up to ten dollars just by filling your tank before New York. Just remember that in Jersey it is against the law to fill your own tank so just pull up to the pump and let the gas guy know exactly what you want.
If you are one of the lucky few who get to experience the US Open then enjoy it and do it in an economical way in a place where nothing is really economical.
P.S. Those special drinks that they sell for $18 with Grey Goose only have half a shot!
