Halloween also called the All Hallow’s Eve is a yearly festival and holiday around the world on October 31. This is the eve before the Christians feast of All Hallows.

To some of the field experts and scholars, All Hallow’s Eve comes from the traditions practiced by pagan harvest festivals and from the festival of honoring the dead, with Celtic Samhain in particular. Some scholars maintain an opposite view suggesting that Halloween festival has nothing to do with Samhain.

Jack-o’-lanterns are also an important part of  the festival also including bonfires, apple bobbing, visiting haunted attractions, telling horror stories, playing pranks and watching horror films. On the religious side praying, fasting and going to vigils or church service are common rituals practiced during the day.
